Waish, Afghanistan - More than 6,000 mainly ethnic Pashtun tribesmen attacked a Pakistan border checkpoint and rallied in opposition to plans by the the Pakistani government to build barbed-wire fences and plant land mines at selected sections along the border. Demonstrators at the Bab-e-Dosti checkpoint, or the Friendship Gate, smashed windows and chanted "death to Pakistan's links with the Taliban." No injuries or arrests were reported.
