Guiyang, Guizhou, China - Hundreds of residents and many angry farmers turned migrant laborers attacked police after a migrant worker was seriously beaten by police for not possessing a temporary residence permit. Rioters attacked police with rocks and overturned or damaged nine police vehicles. At least one police officer had to be hospitalized and as many as 10 people were arrested.
