Tacoma, Washington, U.S. - Former Animal Liberation Front prisoner Darren Thurston was arrested last Wednesday in connection with the March 16th Grand Jury in Eugene. Darren is a Canadian citizen who currently being held in an INS detention center in Tacoma. He was been served a subpoena to the Eugene Grand Jury.

The same day six other people were arrested in connection a number of Earth and Animal Liberation arson attacks that took place between 1998 and 2001. A court-appointed lawyer for one of the six, David Barrow of Flagstaff, said that federal officials were capturing innocent and peaceful people while casting a wide net for terrorists. "It's a sad age we're living in."
