Rural unrest is growing out of control in the Chinese country side. Seemingly spontaneous large scale demonstrations and riots have been breaking out at a quickening pace, each involving tens of thousands of people. Three disturbances occurred this month alone, sparked by poor living conditions, government corruption, and lack of land access. Although the media does not report on the uprisings information of them is spread through out the country, by way of email, cell phone text messages, and word of mouth.
