The NYPD is expected to continue it's campaign of harassment against cyclists who ride in large groups or "critical masses" next week as they take to the streets for their monthly ride. Police began arresting cyclists in mass and confiscating bicycles for minor traffic infractions in August shortly before the Republican National Convention. Critical Mass a bicycle ride promoted in NYC by the environmental group Times Up! is a popular bike ride, which occurs on the last Friday of every month.
