The Boston Red Sox where able to make baseball history last night as they overcame a 3-0 Yankee game lead in a best of 4 American League Championship series. Celebratory riots erupted all over New England and police response to in Boston turned deadly. A heavy handed Boston Police Department attempted to clear streets quickly using "less then lethal" weapons which reportedly claimed the life of a 21 year old female college student. Police estimated that 60,000 to 80,000 people took to the streets many engaging in property destruction. Revilers in Boston attacked a bank, a McDonald's, city vehicles, the police themselves, as well as privately owned SUVs and cars. Riots also caused extensive damage in Vermont, New Hampshire, Amherst and Dartmouth. Few arrests were made.
