MEXICO CITY - Of the eight international detainees who were being held by Mexican authorities following protests against the Third Summit of Governments and Heads of State of Latin America, the Caribbean and the European Union (ALCUE III) in Guadalajara, three Spaniards are still in captivity and are fighting deportation. Another Spaniard and one each from Italy, Canada, Australia and the United States were flown to their countries of origin on Tuesday, barred from entering Mexico for at least three years. Laloue Desperrier-Roux, 20, of Canada has reported witnessing Guadalajaran Police use physical and psychological torture on detainees to Canadian media sources.
