Members of the group Earth First! are running a week long training camp, in preparation for the "U.S. Forest Service's" plan to sell the logging rights to 700 acres of "publicly owned" land, in West Virginia. Greenpeace successfully blocked a logging road in a Southern Oregon old growth forest for seven hours. Oregon has a number of tree sits and radical forest defense campaigns organized by groups connected to the Cascadia Rising ecological defense network.
