30-40 people are being detained after protests against the Third Summit of Governments and Heads of State of Latin America, the Caribbean and the European Union (ALCUE III) in Guadalajara, Mexico. Another 8 internationals have been transferred to Mexico City and may be deported possibly including a Canadian woman who like many other detainees was beaten by police.
