Russians angered by political corruption in a southern province stormed their regional government administration building and ransacked it. Despite the presence of hundreds of riot police, enraged citizens were able to batter down the doors with metal barricades. As of Tuesday night about 1,000 mostly elderly people had taken up occupation of the building.
